Adopt a Highway

We really call it our Genesis 2:15 Program. The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. We started cleaning our road from one end to another. We are making an impact on our community. The people walk or drive by saying thank you. This particular day the local Chairman came out to work right along side us. At the end of our first day of this project the children gave so many testimonies for this project, it was really amazing. Maddy, one of our boys, made a great comment: "When we go to do door to door evangelism, the people will know who we are and accept us easier."

The children have encouraged us to make this a weekly event, they are really excited about this program! Although the community has a bad habit of littering, they seem to like it when things are getting cleaned up. The first day we were out cleaning, the neighbors started getting involved and cleaning their areas and even were lending us some tools. There are so many ways to do an outreach!
Rita Beach demonstrates "the glamorous life of a missionary." Amazing how God chooses to use us! One moment you're praying over the sick in the hospital and next minute you're on top of a garbage heap; just doing the job that needs to be done! That's the happy heart of a missionary.
