Robyn, Richard and Rob taken in March this year, normally Richard had that big smile like Rob's!We received sad and tragic news early this morning. Richard was killed in a traffic accident. He was driving the motorcycle early this morning and evidently was hit from the side coming up on his rear maybe being passed by a car. We don't have all of the details yet and the location is about an hour or so away so we have not yet been there.
Richard was the eldest of his three siblings Sara, Babra and Rob who are all orphans that are in our family. We were going to celebrate his 20th birthday this month. Rob has gone with an Aunt to claim the body and arrange transport to the village of their recently discovered grandfather, to lay him to rest on the family land.
Richard had joined the family last month to get on his feet, so he could have a place to live and be our boda driver so he could have some steady income and to help us with our transportation.
We are making arrangements for our family to go for the funeral tomorrow. Transportation is always difficult and a real hardship on all of us. Burials happen very quickly here because of the lack of facilities or procedures for preserving the body.
It is so hard to understand these things, especially when things were just coming together for this family, but our faith is in God for we know He has a plan. Thank you for remembering us in your prayers!
